Tears were formed during 1996, consisting of Divanis and other members, who are no more playing with Tears. In 1998 Kostas Korkidas (the keyboard player) joined the band. In 2000 Tears recorded their first demo tape (members are now the ones that appear on the promo CD). Their first two songs �Time Master� and �Things imaginary�� were sent to the Greek Metal Hammer on a TAPE with no cover. Metal Hammer published a review of the promo in the demo section making amazing compliments to the band.2002 Tears have recorded some more songs and are about to record 3 more that they have been rehearsing during summer. The first EP includes their very first songs ''Time master'' and �Things imaginary�� with the trilogy ''Self destruction'' and ''The beginning after each end�'. Tears are mainly playing progressive metal/rock/goth, with several other influences. Since the main concept of the band is to create songs representing strong emotional states, their style could be described as 'emotional metal'. The band was named after the name Tears since crying is the main reaction of the human body to any strong emotion/feeling. Tears are the link between our body and soul. One can cry tears of sorrow, happiness, fright, excitement... |
