TEARS ‘FALLING CERTAINTY’ (INDEPENDENT)

The mini-CD of this Greek band starts very calm, with a sort of epic Gothic Pop/Rock ballad called ‘Things imaginary’, but next track

‘Self destruction ‘changes the whole sound of the band, because this is a very impressive up-tempo melodic Prog/Power Metal song with a catchy chorus and some great keyboard versus guitarwork. Although this is a Greek band, I believe they are settled in the UK, but anyway, musically they are quite diverse and I definitely prefer their up-tempo metalish tracks, because they are quite good. The band has a strong singer, and although comparisons to RHAPSODY or FALCONER are clear on the metalish songs, it’s all done very well, and I am quite sure that in a bigger production this band could be able to deliver something even better.
